The Community Garden
At The Train Depot, our Community Garden is a vibrant space where neighbors can come together to grow fresh produce, share gardening tips, and foster a deeper connection with nature. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, our garden plots provide the perfect opportunity to cultivate your green thumb.
What We Provide:
- Rentable Plots: Secure your own garden plot on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority given to residents within a 1-mile radius who lack green space at home.
- Gardening Workshops: Join our hands-on classes covering topics like Composting 101, Growing Food, Kid-Friendly Gardening, and Winter Gardening.
- Supplies and Resources: Purchase quality soil, heritage seeds, and gardening kits on-site. Optional locker rentals are available for storing your tools.
- Community Engagement: Connect with fellow gardeners, share your harvest, and participate in community-wide gardening events.
